Trips in the snow
Each year an intrepid band of boys and staff set off for adventures in the snow. The ski trip has been operating at King Edward's for very many years and a wide range of resorts are visited. Recent destinations have included Italy, Austria and the USA. The trip is enormously popular and boys often want to go again and again!
Snowshoeing is a different experience: boys travel into the high mountains away from the pistes. The views are breathtaking and a highlight of the week is an overnight visit to a mountain refuge, with the option to dig a snow cave and even try spending the night in it.
As many boys will tell you, snow is an odd substance: you can feel very cold in the shade, but equally, sunburn is a constant hazard!
