King Edward's School Home

An independent day school for boys aged 11 to 18

Library

The Library has a central role in school life. Recently refurbished and extensively re-equipped, it holds over 16,000 fiction and non-fiction books, a wide selection of newspapers, magazines and journals, and over 600 DVDs. Twelve networked computers provide access to the school intranet, the Internet, and many on-line resources, including the Library Catalogue.

The Library is open from 8am to 5pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 3.20pm on Friday, and is staffed by two qualified librarians, assisted by a growing band of pupil librarians. The Library is popular, and is often full at lunchtimes. Regular author visits, including Lee Child, competitions, and displays make the Library an exciting place to be.
