School NewsOxbridge Success - 26 offers this year.11 January 2010
Oxford University and Cambridge University have made offers to 26 boys from King Edward’s School. This is the highest figure since 2002. John Claughton, the Chief Master, said that everyone was delighted with this outcome. ‘This has always been an exceptional generation of boys in the school, and it is very exciting for the boys to receive offers. The list is particularly satisfying because of the breadth of success: there is barely a subject that has not had some success.’ Oxford Harry Scholes Biochemistry Oriel [post A Level] Prithu Banerjee Engineering Jesus Christopher Bland ML (French and German) New Guy Brindley Classics Jesus Rajiv Gogna Chemistry Worcester Michael Kent Chemistry Keble [for 2011] Grant McWalter Maths & Philosophy St Edmund Hall Abdul Rahman Madadi Human Sciences Mansfield Alex Mason Ancient and Modern History Corpus Christi [for 2011] Anthony Ojukwu Law Wadham Aaron Rai Engineering Hertford Venkat Rao ML (Spanish and Arabic) Queen’s James Shirley English St Catherine’s Greg Stacey Theology Trinity Anuj Wali Medicine New Cambridge Rowan Khanna ML (French and Spanish) St John’s [post A Level] Samir Ahmad ML (French and German) St. Catharine’s Ravi Dosanjh Geography Fitzwilliam James Griffith Engineering Emmanuel Mike Hoffman Engineering King’s Sam Hobbs ML (Spanish and Italian) Fitzwilliam William Jagessar Natural Sciences Christ’s Aakash Patel Geography Robinson Rohan Prakash Medicine Downing Simon Schulz Engineering St John’s James Wilkey ML (Spanish and Italian) Fitzwilliam |
