Observing the Night Sky

20 January 2009

On 20 January, a team of 17 brave (and very cold) star-gazers set off to Nottingham Trent University for a talk on observatories without telescopes, including an historical perspective, and a visit to the NTU Observatory. A long, interesting, active evening followed in which the boys actually got to view the night-sky, mostly around the constellation of Orion, as the clouds magically fled from the sky, leaving it clear, bright (and very cold).
