Geography
We aim to encourage in our pupils a sense of curiosity, exploration and delight in the world in which they live. Geography bridges the gap between the arts and the sciences and has a special place in helping pupils to make connections between different areas of knowledge. It provides the skills, knowledge and understanding to help students to live and work in the complex modern world.
Fieldwork is a key part of our teaching programme and includes visits to the Shropshire hills in year 9, a three day GCSE field course in Wales and autumn and spring residential courses for AS students in contrasting regions of northern England. There are also trips to Iceland.
